Braxton Family Values

 Famed recording diva Toni Braxton and her sisters, Trina, Tamar, Traci and Towanda have taken reality to another level, actually a more realistic view of how women interact is presented through the Braxon sisters and the dynamics of their close relationships.

 Recently sisters Trina and Traci visited Chicago to premiere a screening for the  new season which airs on We tv tonight at 9 pm ET.  The ladies will not disappoint as the drama continues with sibling rivalry, and drama with one sisters seeking possible divorce from a husband, while another’s ex husband appears on the scene.

 Sister’s Trina and Traci are just as candid in person as on screen defending the show and explaining that they provide a real view of life and that does not including fighting on screen like they do in some realty shows. “ We love each other and disagree but don’t put our hands on each other says Trina”.

Both sisters are enjoying the celebrity that comes with filming a realty show, but admits the invasion of being so well known is overwhelming at times. Traci was part of the group originally. She and her husband live in the Washington DC area with her son. Life in the spotlight is very different she says adding; “there are still times I call one of my sister and say “someone asked me for an autograph, and I still almost want to ask, who me?” 

 The show is real sister Trina explains as she makes reference to last season’s episode when she received a DUI and had her mug shot flash across the screen. She hated the photo saying she should have glued her wig down that day, because they made her remove it for that glam shot. That incident she said was a way for her to look at her life and especially her son, and it has made her a better mother. It’s about moderation she still drinks, we had a group Champaign toast and she was fine.

 The show continues with baby sister Tamar seeking that solo career and being over the dramatic about everything, and there is Toni trying to keep the peace and be the sister of reason. The family dynamics are real and almost anyone can relate to most of the issues t present when you have sisters.

 When it comes to men watching the show Trina says “you just might find yourself with a Braxton, there is one of our personalities in the woman you are with.” So if you watch you just might learn something”.

 Keeping these women grounded is a job only a mother can accomplish, and that is exactly the job of Evelyn who will deliver a reality check to any daughter failing to respect her role as the mother.

 These ladies are like your friend, sister or cousin, living life and learning along the way, they just happen to be doing it with a crew of cameras following every moment.
