Noir Woman is a premiere African American Woman’s lifestyle Publication which launched November 2004 in Chicago Illinois. Our very first issue featured now First Lady Michelle Obama on our cover which set the tone for how African American women would be presented to the world. Noir Woman later launched as a monthly insert in the Chicago Sun Times 2007 distributing and reaching over 500,000 readers a month in paid print subscriptions, our online presence was also housed at Chicago Sun Times web site generating strong traffic and interaction from visitors.
In 2009 Noir Woman began to look for ways to leverage placement as an online property for African American female consumers and advertisers based on the need for quality products for readers, and experienced publishers to work with advertisers. The concept for Noir Woman Ad Network developed from the Noir Woman brand looking to expand its market online and to serve a niche market of women looking for products, services and editorial developed around their lifestyle. That single concept triggered a search which also included the desire to help new publishers to grow there online properties and products by sharing the years of experience in developing business relationships and publishing products for African American women.
